Silver Lakes is a 36-hole golf complex in Glencoe, Calhoun County, that opened in November 1993 as the seventh site on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Silver Lakes consists of three 9-hole courses: Mindbreaker, Heartbreaker, and Backbreaker, and one 9-hole par-3 Short Course. World-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones first toured the Silver Lakes site in January 1992 and deemed the property perfect, with many natural tee areas and greens.

Located in Northeast Alabama, between Anniston and Gadsden, Silver Lakes is set on rolling terrain with stunning views of the surrounding Appalachian foothills. Surrounded by the Appalachian foothills and Lee's Lake, Silver Lakes features the most unique and aptly named courses on The Trail and all 36 greens boast beautiful and lightning-quick Champion Ultradwarf putting surfaces. The Heartbreaker nine is dubbed by many as the most challenging nine on the Trail from the championship tees. The beauty of Silver Lakes is the multiple tee selections (up to 12 on some holes).

It has served as the Jacksonville State University golf teams' home course and hosted many intercollegiate golf tournaments. Masters champion Danny Willett of Great Britain played for JSU for two years and credited his play at Silver Lakes as contributing to his 2016 tournament victory.
