Shotts Golf Club, founded in 1895, is an 18-hole moorland course located 30 minutes from Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland, situated approximately 800 feet above sea level. The course was designed by legendary architect James Braid in 1936 and features an exceptional layout that presents a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

The course is characterized by lush fairways and receptive greens set within a picturesque moorland setting. On clear days, golfers enjoy sweeping panoramic views across the landscape, from Tinto in Lanarkshire to Louden Hill in Ayrshire. The course represents a significant challenge while remaining accessible to players of varying skill levels.

Throughout its history, Shotts Golf Club has hosted several notable tournaments, including the Ayrshire Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the Royal & Ancient Championship, establishing its reputation within the golfing community.
