Located at Turning Stone Resort Casino near Verona in upstate New York, the course sits on varied, rolling terrain and is maintained to Audubon International standards for environmental conservation.

The course features diverse hole styles including wooded parkland areas, open pasture holes with a links feel, and low-country style layouts. Players encounter numerous challenges including 75 bunkers, forced carries over water and waste areas, wetland hazards, and elevation changes. The course can accommodate golfers of all skill levels, with tees offering different distances and angles to suit various abilities.

Shenendoah hosted the 2006 PGA Professional Championship and is recognized for its beautiful scenery, wonderful routing, and spectacular playing conditions. Notable design features include signature holes such as the scenic 14th, a 168-yard par 3 played over water with a rocky wall and multiple bunkers protecting the green. The course is bordered by towering sugar maples and features a scenic pond on the 12th hole that attracts waterfowl.
