Located in Tomei City, Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai Classic Golf Club is a 72-par, 18-hole course situated approximately 30 minutes from Sendai city center. The facility spans approximately 1.2 million square meters with a 15-meter elevation change, characterized as a flat, hilly layout designed to utilize all 14 clubs in a player's bag. It is recognized as the only Japan Golf Association (JGA) rating standard course in the Tohoku region. The course features two sets of greens, White and Red, with the White tees extending to 7,108 yards from the Champion tees. The front nine begins with a long, downhill par-5 that requires precise navigation around side bunkers, followed by a demanding par-4 where the green is protected by a water hazard. The hole is defined by its wide fairway but significant green undulation. The third hole presents a 166-yard downhill shot over a large pond, with bunkers guarding the front and right edges of the green. The back nine starts with a dogleg-left par-4 that is considered one of the more difficult opening holes, leading into a straight, tree-lined par-4 that serves as the course's longest interior mid-length hole. Signature challenges include the 14th hole, a 563-yard par-5 with an S-shaped fairway and an Allison bunker guarding the green, and the 17th, a 195-yard par-3 requiring a carry over water. The finishing 18th hole is a par-4 where two ponds connected by a creek flank the green, creating a dramatic finish that allows for potential score changes. The course is equipped with white sand bunkers and numerous water hazards, with two-putt greens designed to maintain consistent main green conditions. The club hosts the Meiji Yasuda Ladies Golf Tournament, a tournament on the JLPGA Tour. The facility includes a clubhouse, pro shop, restaurant, and practice facilities, with tee times available for both members and visitors.
