Schenectady Municipal Golf Course

Schenectady Municipal Golf Course opened in 1935, designed by A.F. Knight and Jim Thomas. The course was substantially funded by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) and the Civil Works Administration (CWA), both precursors to the Works Progress Administration, reflecting its New Deal-era origins.

The course stretches to 6,600 yards and is characterized by fast, undulating greens paired with tight fairways. The layout is blanketed with native grasses and vegetation, creating a challenging test of golf.
