Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole championship course originally built in 1928 and renovated by renowned architect Bob Lohmann after being purchased by the Schaumburg Park District in 1989. The course features three distinct nines: the Tournament Nine, Players Nine, and Baer Nine, allowing golfers to experience varied layouts with each visit. Playing from 6,097 to 6,700 yards, the course offers undulating terrain with manicured bent grass tees, fairways, and greens in a generous layout. Rated Four Stars by Golf Digest and named the 4th best golf course in Illinois by GolfPass, Schaumburg Golf Club has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments including U.S. Open Qualifying, Illinois State Amateur Qualifying, and IPGA Pro-Junior Championships. The facility includes a comprehensive practice facility with grass tees, mats, and two putting greens, plus The Academy professional teaching program. The Frank Lloyd Wright prairie-style clubhouse provides a full-service pro shop, restaurant, banquet facilities, and locker rooms. In 2010, the course achieved Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program certification.
