Sand Valley is situated on 12,000 acres of rugged dunes in the prehistoric Central Sands of Wisconsin and is home to five world-class golf courses featuring firm, links-style conditions. The original Sand Valley course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, opened in 2017, and features an 18-hole, par-72 layout. The course features unique routing with five par 3's and five par 5's, with distinctive sandy aesthetics and firm, fast conditions. Sand Valley is ranked No. 18 in Golfweek's "Top 100 Public Access Courses".

The course represents the third installment of Mike Keiser resorts after Bandon Dunes and Cabot Links, featuring an interior links design with a similar look and feel to Streamsong in Florida. The course features dual fairways, gigantic sand spits, enormous greens and even a hidden putting surface. Sand Valley was Golf Digest's Best New Course of 2017. The closing holes feature a notable punchbowl green on the long uphill Par 3 17th hole. The resort also features additional courses including Mammoth Dunes by David McLay Kidd, The Lido, Sedge Valley, and The Sandbox, a 17-hole par-3 short course.
