Ba Na Hills Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship mountain course measuring 7,857 yards from the professional tees — the longest layout in Vietnam — located at the foothills of the Ba Na Hills mountain range, approximately 25 minutes inland from Da Nang. Designed by former world No. 1 Luke Donald in conjunction with IMG, it was his first golf course design anywhere in the world. Developed by Sun Group and opened in 2016, it was named World's Best New Golf Course at the World Golf Awards that year and has since won Vietnam's Best Golf Course and Asia's Best Golf Course on multiple occasions.

Unlike the coastal courses in the Da Nang region, Ba Na Hills plays away from the sea at elevation, in a cooler and typically calmer setting amid native hardwood forest and mountain scenery. The course offers five sets of tees ranging from 7,857 to 5,173 yards. The outward nine is the longer and flatter half, featuring back-to-back par-5s at the 4th and 5th, with streams and ponds coming into play on holes 4 through 9. The back nine introduces more pronounced elevation changes, with the par-4 10th climbing to the highest point on the course. The signature hole is the par-3 16th, a dramatic downhill one-shotter to an island green. The par-3 2nd plays 260 yards from the back tees and is one of the most demanding short holes on the course. Front nine fairways are framed by pine forest with doglegs creating blind tee shots, while the back nine is more open, featuring distinctive bunkers with grass rolled over their faces. All 18 holes are floodlit for night golf.
