The par-71 course spans 250 acres of forested hills, open meadows and misty valleys of Guernsey County. Jack Kidwell is the architect of Salt Fork State Park Golf Course, which was built in 1972. Measuring only 5,786 yards from the white tees, the course plays considerably longer than expected because of the numerous uphill approach shots. The numerous hills create a variety of uneven lies, the doglegs demand distance control, and the greens have a good bit of slope.

Salt Fork State Park is a public recreation area located six miles (9.7 km) north of Lore City in Guernsey County, Ohio. The 18-hole championship course features a practice putting green, driving range, pro shop, and snack bar. The course offers panoramic views of forested hills, open meadows, and misty valleys, with challenging uphill approaches and elevated terrain and variety of hole designs.
