Salem Golf Club is an 18-hole course featuring 6,409 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.9 with a slope rating of 118 on Bent grass. The club was established in 1921 when community leaders purchased the Timothy Gee Farm just south of Salem, whose gently rolling hills, steep cliffs and meandering stream provided an ideal setting for an initial 9-hole course. A second 9 holes opened in 1967, with the entire course redesigned by Geoffrey Cornish in 1981.
Hole 3 is a 370-yard par-4 and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is #12, a 121-yard par-3. The facility includes an onsite driving range with 4 practice tees. The course presents a moderately challenging layout suitable for various skill levels, with its routing utilizing the natural topography and water features that characterize the original property.
