Sakushu Musashi Country Club is a 27-hole facility designed by Masashi Okubo, which opened in October 1975. The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: the Harima, Mimasaka, and Inaba courses. Each nine-hole loop plays to a par of 36, offering a total of 54 holes for play. The club utilizes a six-tier tee system—Black, Blue, White, Gold, Red, and Purple—to accommodate various skill levels and handicaps, with the Blue tees serving as the standard for the Harima and Mimasaka courses and the White tees for the Inaba course. The Harima course is characterized as a technical layout that demands accurate shot-making and distance control. It features narrow fairways, doglegs, and various hazards including water and bunkers. The third hole is a par-3 guarded by five bunkers, requiring precise distance and direction. The fifth hole is noted as the narrowest fairway on the course, with out-of-bounds to the right, while the seventh hole is a straight par-5 where a dense cedar forest known as "Konkonkan Forest" penalizes slices. The Mimasaka course offers a more dynamic challenge with significant elevation changes and strategic demands. The first hole is a demanding uphill par-4, described as the toughest on the course. The fifth hole is a famous blind par-5 that doglegs sharply to the left, requiring a precise tee shot through a gap between bunkers. The eighth hole is a scenic par-3 where the green is surrounded by water and four bunkers, testing the golfer's ability to control approach shots. The Inaba course provides an open feel with expansive views and undulating terrain. It begins with a long, visible par-5 on the first hole. The seventh hole is a challenging par-3 that requires a carry over a deep blue pond. The eighth hole is a downhill par-4 that offers views of Mount Nachi, requiring careful club selection due to the elevation drop. The course features numerous uphill and downhill shots, making accurate club choice essential for strategic play.
