Sakura Golf Club is a 27-hole facility located in Inashiki, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, situated on a hillside with views of Lake Kasumigaura. The course was designed by 18 professional golfers, including Toruichi Nakamura, and is divided into three distinct nine-hole courses: the East, South, and West courses. The layout is characterized by wide fairways and strategic green and hazard placements that test players' skills, with the wind from Lake Kasumigaura adding to the course's varying conditions. The East Course is described as the most orthodox and powerful, featuring wide and long holes that favor distance hitters. The South Course is shorter but demands precision, with greens positioned to challenge distance control and approach shots. The West Course is noted for its variety and strategic complexity, often considered the most interesting by members. The total yardage from the blue tees is 10,104 yards with a par of 108, while the white tees offer 9,542 yards. The course ratings range from 71.0 to 72.4 depending on the combination of courses played. The facility is known for its well-maintained turf, with soft, lush fairways and dense, vibrant greens. The club features a three-story clubhouse built in 1992, which incorporates art elements and offers views of the lake. The course includes GPS-enabled golf carts and hosts various member competitions, such as the Sakura Open and the S.L Cup Sakura Open.
