Saddleworth Golf Club is an 18-hole course designed by renowned architect Dr Alister MacKenzie in 1913, built on the foundation of a 9-hole layout established in 1904. Located in Uppermill on Mountain Ash, Ladcastle Road, the course commands panoramic views of the Pennines and surrounding Saddleworth villages across moorland terrain.

The layout has matured over more than 100 years into what is considered the finest course in the area. The course presents varied shot-making challenges while being rewarded with stunning landscape vistas. The moorland setting and MacKenzie's design philosophy create a naturally demanding layout.

Facilities include practice areas at the rear of an extensive car park, offering both practice tees and natural lie positions for iron shots. The clubhouse provides a lounge with bar and Sky TV, while a separate snooker room offers alternative recreation. The club welcomes visitors and societies, with a PGA Professional on staff.
