Ruuhikoski Golf is an 18-hole course located in Seinäjoki, Finland, designed by internationally renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. The layout is set within a characteristic Pohjanmaa river landscape, integrating seamlessly with the natural terrain and the flow of the Nurmo River. The course is characterized by significant elevation changes and a design philosophy that prioritizes accuracy and shot placement over raw distance, making it accessible and enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.

The routing features a variety of hole types, including par-3s, par-4s, and par-5s, with yardages varying significantly by tee. The first hole, a par-4, introduces players to the river, which serves more as a pleasant scenic element than a severe hazard, though fairway bunkers require careful approach. The second par-4 requires a draw shot, while the third par-4 presents a birdie opportunity despite a ditch dividing the fairway. The fourth hole is a sheltered par-3 protected by towering pines, requiring a well-struck long iron to find the green. Key characteristics of the course include undulating greens and strategic bunkering that demand precise distance control.

The sixth hole is a short par-3 noted for its tricky contours and bunkers that can feed balls away from the hole, complicating putting. The fifth par-4 is a long, flat, and often shadowed hole where judging distance can be deceptive, requiring players to trust yardage markers. The seventh hole is a par-5 that allows longer hitters to reach the green in two, though finding the landing area is challenging due to its shallow and well-guarded nature.

Ruuhikoski Golf has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 100 golf clubs in the Nordic countries. The course maintains a record of low scores, with men's course records including a 63 by Teemu Bakker in 2014 and a 65 by Daniela Campillo Martínez in 2024. The facility includes practice areas, a restaurant, and a pro shop, supporting both casual play and competitive events. The design ensures that while the course offers challenges for low-handicap players, it remains playable and engaging for beginners and mid-handicappers alike.
