Rose Lake Golf Club is an 18-hole course located in Fairmont, Minnesota, centered around Rose Lake and featuring a scenic natural setting with water hazards and wooded terrain. Originally opened as a 9-hole course in 1957 called Lakeview Public Golf Course, the membership purchased and renamed it Rose Lake Golf Club in 1967. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1987, designed by Fairway Architects, Inc., with initial rough design by Joel Goldstrand and Ron Bloom. The layout incorporates several original holes while featuring long stretches of spacious fairways interspersed with intimate wooded surroundings. Water features include Rose Lake, two large ponds, and a stream that create both scenic beauty and challenge. Following severe flooding in 1993, holes 3, 4, and 11 were redesigned by course superintendent Scott Drever to minimize future flooding risks. The course is described as picturesque and challenging for golfers of all skill levels, set within Southern Minnesota's natural landscape.
