Rockland Country Club is located in Sparkill, New York, and features an 18-hole golf course. The course features 6,538 yards of golf for a par of 71. The club was incorporated in 1906 and originally commissioned Henry Stark to design a 9-hole course, with Robert White laying out an entirely new 18-hole course that opened in 1930. Robert Trent Jones redesigned the course in 1965, and John Harvey was brought in during the late 1990s to update the traditional layout with all-new cloverleaf-type bunkering, removal of several blind shots, and several new tee boxes.
The course features a hilly layout with tree-lined fairways and water coming into play on one hole. The course offers a great variety of challenges, including some elevated tees and others that require blind tee shots, with the first hole featuring a bunker taking up half of the fairway. Rockland Country Club's greens are known to be some of the firmest and fastest in the Metropolitan area.
