Founded in 1926, Riviera Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Pacific Palisades, California. Designed by amateur architect George C. Thomas, the course is considered one of the finest natural layouts in golf and ranks among the top 50 courses worldwide and top 25 in the United States.

The course continuously challenges the world's best golfers and has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the 1948 US Open, the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships, the 1998 US Senior Open, and the 2017 US Amateur. Currently, Riviera serves as the home of The Genesis Invitational and will host Olympic golf competition in 2028.

Designed to take advantage of its natural terrain, the course is known for its challenging layout that tests skilled players. Thomas's design approach emphasized working with the landscape rather than against it, creating a course that maintains its competitive integrity while preserving the natural character of the property. The club's reputation reflects both the quality of the course design and its storied history as a premier golfing destination.
