Riverside Golf Club

Riverside Golf Club is a private members' club established in 1893 in North Riverside, Illinois, situated on 125 acres along the Des Plaines River, approximately 12 miles from downtown Chicago. The club has played a significant role in golf history, being instrumental in founding the Western Golf Association in 1899, a relationship it maintains to this day. The course underwent major development in 1915 with the acquisition of substantial acreage and subsequent construction of facilities. A notable expansion occurred in 1990 when the club purchased an additional 25 acres from the Cook County Forest Preserve District. Beyond golf, the club offers comprehensive amenities including swimming facilities established in 1935, fine and casual dining options, and event hosting capabilities. The club has maintained prominence in Chicago's golfing community through its affiliation with the Chicago District Golf Association since 1914.
