Notable design elements include fairway bunkers, greenside hazards, and sloped greens that demand precise shot-making. Signature holes include Hole 4, described as one of the prettiest yet toughest on the course with water hazard considerations, and Hole 16, which offers exceptional views of London and requires navigation around fairway bunkers on a downhill par 5. Hole 13 presents an intimidating dogleg left par 5 with water spanning its full length. The course emphasizes positioning and distance control, with many holes featuring back-to-front green slopes and strategic bailing areas.
