River Oaks Golf Course

River Oaks Golf Course is a public golf facility located south of Winnipeg's perimeter off Waverly Street. The course welcomes golfers of all skill levels and is characterized by its natural landscape featuring mature oak trees and the meandering La Salle River that enhance the playing experience. The course incorporates bunkers and water hazards as strategic challenges throughout the layout. A notable feature is the island green at the conclusion of the 9th hole, which provides a distinctive finishing point for the front nine. The course offers both competitive rates and membership options to accommodate various player preferences. Currently undergoing renovations, River Oaks Golf Course is scheduled to reopen in April 2026 with new amenities including an updated clubhouse and patio facilities. The on-site dining option, known as "The 19th Hole," serves homemade meals and beverages, available for consumption during or after rounds of play.
