River Creek Park Golf Course ☆ Follow

River Creek Park Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course located 5 miles north of Sheppard Air Force Base near Wichita Falls, Texas. Designed by Richard Boyd and opened in 1976, the course measures 6,800 yards with a par of 71, featuring a course rating of 69.9 and slope rating of 104. The layout includes four sets of tees to accommodate various skill levels.

The course is situated in the scenic North Texas plains near the Red River, with six holes positioned on the north side of the river border. The landscape features mature trees lining wide-open fairways, and bentgrass greens that are well-maintained. Notable holes include the signature par-3 second hole, a 178-yard shot with water fronting the left side of the green, and the eighth hole which offers views of the Red River.

Facilities at River Creek include a fully stocked pro shop, practice range, putting green, banquet room, and snack bar. The course accommodates tournaments and group outings and is open to the public seven days a week.
