Located in the historic Netherlands Inn area of Kingsport, Tennessee, Ridgefields provides a family-oriented club environment. Donald Ross, in his classic style, designed the rolling fairways amongst the mountain filled backdrop and river bank. Notable holes include the par five No. 4, which features a centerline bunker to challenge second shots, and No. 8, a dogleg right par four that follows the river's curves as it wraps around the property. Donald Ross Associates, revered as one of the greatest golf course architect firms of any era, designed the golf course, with the first nine holes opened in June of 1949 and the current front nine in early 1950. The course hosts the Annual Invitational Golf Tournament, which has been contested for over 50 years and has grown to be one of the most renowned in Tennessee.
