Reynolds Park Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located near downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The course measures 6,534 yards with a par of 71, and was originally designed by Perry Maxwell in 1940, with later alterations by renowned architect Ellis Maples in the 1960s. The layout features rolling terrain with mature trees lining the fairways and creeks that come into play on nearly all holes.
Despite its modest yardage, the course plays considerably longer and requires the use of all clubs in a golfer's bag. With a limited number of sand bunkers but terrain that is forgiving to wayward shots, Reynolds Park appeals to college students and beginning golfers while still presenting challenges for experienced players. The course is known for its walker-friendly design and abundant flowering trees and bushes that create vibrant scenery in spring and fall.
The signature hole is #18, a 425-yard par 4 requiring an elevated approach shot to the green. Reynolds Park hosts numerous county-wide tournaments throughout the year, establishing itself as an important venue in the local golf community.
