Ranch Course ☆ Follow

The Ranch Course at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida is an 18-hole course featuring 7,004 yards with a par of 72, designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1987. The course has a rating of 73.4 and a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass. The course is characterized by natural and less manicured design with fairways framed by hammocks of oaks, tawny colored sand, and native vegetation. It melds into the land rather than occupying it, described as similar to Pine Valley but more forgiving.

Tom Fazio has stated that holes 16, 17, and 18 represent the three best finishing holes he has ever designed, with doglegs, length, and elevation changes testing golfers' abilities. The course features rolling fairways and dramatic elevation changes of over 100 feet, with numerous two-tiered greens that place a premium on distance control for approach shots and bunkers that guard par. In 2023, the Ranch Course began a multi-million dollar renovation project led by architect Tripp Davis.
