Quamby Estate

Quamby Estate is a golf course located within a 150-acre heritage estate in Tasmania's Meander Valley, approximately 20 minutes from Launceston. The course is situated on the grounds of the historic Quamby Homestead, originally completed in 1828 and once the home of Sir Richard Dry, Tasmania's first native-born Premier.

The estate features mature English elms and poplars throughout its grounds, creating a picturesque parkland setting with scenic views characteristic of the Meander Valley landscape. The golf course is integrated into the broader Quamby Estate property, which also includes a ten-guest-room homestead and event facilities.

The course is notable for attracting high-profile members, with Sir Richard Branson holding the Number 1 membership. Quamby Estate functions as both a golf destination and heritage tourism venue, allowing guests to combine rounds of golf with accommodation at the historic homestead and exploration of the extensively restored property and its gardens.
