Located in the Laoshan District of Qingdao within the Shilaogren National Tourism Resort, the Qingdao International Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course spanning 1,500 mu. Approved for construction in 1991, it is one of only ten courses in China with complete legal documentation. The layout, measuring approximately 7,010 yards, was designed by American golf legend Billy Casper and course architect Scott Miller, who utilized the site's natural topography to create a challenging environment. The terrain features undulating hills and steep slopes, with wide landing areas and water-encircled greens. The design incorporates significant water hazards and out-of-bounds areas to test players of all skill levels. Notable holes include the 12th, a par-4 that is surrounded by water on three sides with a narrow approach, and the 5th, a 435-yard par-4 featuring large water hazards on both sides of the fairway at the 150-yard mark. The 1st hole presents a 358-yard par-4 with a pond 50 yards from the hole, while the 7th is a 407-yard blind dogleg left that plays uphill. The course has been recognized for its quality, receiving the "China Top 100 Golf Courses" award in 2009. It hosts various types of events, including club competitions, commercial tournaments, and China Golf Association sanctioned events. The facility is situated a 15-minute drive from Liuting International Airport and caters to a membership base of over 50,000 people.
