Pine Hills Country Club is a public golf course located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, built in the late 1960s. The facility features a regulation course, par-3 course, and footgolf course. The regulation course is characterized by mature trees and scenic valley views, offering a challenging layout across the gently rolling terrain of Northeast Pennsylvania.
Since 1998, the course has undergone significant redesign work by R. Stuart Cutlip of Cutlip Golf Design, with over $1 million invested in improvements to irrigation, bunkers, greens, and facilities. The course presents moderate to challenging difficulty with well-maintained conditions.
Pine Hills is conveniently positioned less than half a mile from the Pennsylvania Turnpike and a few miles from Interstate 81, making it the closest public golf course to downtown Scranton. The facility offers additional amenities including two state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators, a clubhouse restaurant, and a pavilion for events and outings.
The course has received recognition as the Best Public Golf Course in the area by Reader's Choice for ten consecutive years and was named a finalist for the Sage Awards Small Business of the Year. Pine Hills operates year-round, weather permitting, and welcomes public play.
