Opened in 2020, The Pfau Course at Indiana University is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by renowned architect Steve Smyers and two-time major winner Fuzzy Zoeller. Located on 265 acres in Bloomington, Indiana, the course features a Par-71 layout with six tee options ranging from 4,586 to 7,908 yards, making it accessible to players of all skill levels.
The design showcases southern Indiana's natural topography, incorporating forests, open spaces, and forest edges to create scenic views and challenging play. The course features 147 bunkers of varying sizes with traditional rugged styling, bent grass greens averaging 6,680 square feet, and distinctive turf composition including zoysia fairways and Irish links rough.
Notable characteristics include the environmentally friendly design utilizing drought-tolerant zoysia grass and the variety of green sizes ranging from 4,145 to 10,014 square feet.
