Penfield Golf Club is located at Salisbury, about half an hour's drive north of Adelaide's CBD. The golf course is a nine hole layout with 18 alternate tees, stretching a length of 5793 metres for members and 5287 metres for ladies off the championship tees and playing to a par of 72. The course features tree lined lush kikuyu grassed fairways, excellent bent greens and creative bunkering.

The course was developed by transforming a flat, featureless, treeless, parched, sun-baked clay gibber plains through an army of volunteers and donated materials, a spirit that continues today as many people invest their time, skills and hard work to keep the golf course in excellent condition for all golfers. The course is fully watered and manicured, offering a challenging round suitable for players of varying skill levels.

The club operates a full year competitive programme for members, including an Annual Golf Week open to all AGU registered players, and have fielded a team in GolfSA Pennant programmes since its establishment. The club offers excellent practice facilities including a driving range, practice chipping, putting and bunker play complex.
