The course known as "Les Vignes" is officially named Vignes, one of two 18-hole golf courses at Cabot Bordeaux in the Médoc region of Southwest France. Designed by Rod Whitman, the course debuted in 1991, two years after his collaboration with Bill Coore on the resort's other course, Châteaux. The Vignes course offers a style of play that contrasts with the Châteaux course, showcasing the natural beauty of the Bordeaux region. Cabot Bordeaux is situated approximately 20 kilometres northwest of the historic city center of Bordeaux and near Bordeaux Airport. The resort is located in a region celebrated for its vineyards, with the course designed to blend luxurious vineyard sophistication with countryside charm. The location provides access to the wine capital of the world, known for its size and prestige, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Châteaux course, designed by Bill Coore and Rod Whitman, was the former host of the French Open and was ranked 21st in the Golf World Top 100 Courses in Europe for 2025. Cabot Bordeaux as a resort was ranked 12th in the Golf World Top 100 Best Golf Resorts in Continental Europe for 2025. The resort also won the World Golf Awards for France's Best Golf Hotel in 2025. The resort features 79 guest rooms that offer views of the golf courses, a world-class training center, a boutique spa, and various dining options including a vintage wine cellar. The Vignes course is part of a destination that offers curated packages combining championship play with spa treatments and premium comfort.
