The Club de Golf Pan de Azúcar is an 18-hole course situated in Coquimbo, Chile, set within a 40-hectare property surrounded by mountains and native vegetation. The layout features a total par of 72. The front nine comprises three par fives, four par fours, and two par threes. The back nine mirrors this variety, offering three par fives, four par fours, and three par threes.
The course presents a range of distances from the different tees, with the longest holes stretching to 525 yards from the blue tees on the par-5 11th and 17th holes. The par-5 11th hole stands as the longest on the course at 525 yards from the blue tees. The 13th hole, marked as the most difficult with a handicap of 2, measures 201 yards from the blue tees. Shorter par-3s include the 3rd at 160 yards and the 5th at 170 yards from the same tees. The par-4 holes range from the 12th at 249 yards to the 6th at 407 yards, providing a balanced mix of approach shots and driving holes.
The club, founded in the 1970s in the rural sector of Pan de Azúcar, has grown from basic facilities into a regional recreational center. It hosts tournaments such as the Glorias Navales and the Abierto de Verano, the latter attracting over 90 participants from across the country. The course is managed by a golf committee that enforces standard golf etiquette, including dress codes and rules of play, while allowing golf cart usage with restrictions on fairway access.
