Located in Hiroshima City, the Otagawa Golf Course Out Course, known locally as the Gion Course, is an 18-hole layout situated in the Anza-Naniku ward. The course is designed for a quick round, allowing players to complete the full 18 holes in half a day, leaving time for personal leisure. The front nine plays from the Gion side, while the back nine connects to the Tosaka side, creating a continuous loop that totals 6,645 yards from the regular tees with a par of 64. The layout is characterized by a series of demanding short holes that test precision over distance. The third hole, a 135-yard par 3, is described as the most difficult short hole on the course, featuring a large, ridged green with OB lines pressing in from the left. The sixth and seventh holes are notably short par 3s at 111 and 117 yards respectively, with the sixth sharing a large green with the fifteenth hole, requiring careful distance management to avoid long putts. The eighth hole stands out as a rare non-mounding par 3 at 160 yards, guarded by large bunkers on both sides. The back nine continues the theme of strategic accuracy, particularly on the par 4s. The fourteenth hole is a 98-yard par 3 where the green is small and guarded by bunkers, demanding a precise approach. The eighteenth hole, a 292-yard par 4, features the smallest green on the course, protected by two bunkers and obscured from the second shot, forcing players to play cautiously to avoid trouble. The course includes a practice area and is accessible via a dedicated pink bus service to the Gion Course start reception.
