Oneonta Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Oneonta, New York. The course has a distinguished design history, originally laid out as a 9-hole course by architect Orlo Epps in the early 1900s. In 1928, the club engaged renowned landscape architect William E. Harries to expand and redesign the course into a full 18 holes, which opened in June 1929. Harries was a prolific designer who shaped golf in Western New York, having designed over a dozen courses in the Buffalo region during his 40-year career in golf course design. The current layout reflects both Epps' original foundation and Harries' vision, featuring graceful lines and challenging greens that provide a rewarding playing experience. The course remains an established fixture in the region with a notable architectural pedigree combining the work of two respected designers.
