Located in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, the Oka no Koen Kiyosato Golf Course is a 18-hole, par 72 facility situated at an elevation of 1,000 meters. The course was designed by the Yamanashi Prefectural Government and is split into two distinct nine-hole loops: the Fuji Course and the Komagata Course. The total distance from the back tees is 6,464 yards, with a single green complex utilized for both loops. The terrain is characterized by its high-altitude setting in the Kofu Basin, offering expansive views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The course features a single bentgrass green, which is a notable characteristic for a course at this elevation. The layout includes specific holes designated for long drives and accurate approach shots, with the 3rd and 9th holes on the Fuji Course, and the 5th and 9th on the Komagata Course recommended for distance players. Precision is rewarded on the 4th and 8th holes of the Fuji Course, and the 6th and 8th of the Komagata Course, which are marked as nearest-the-pin holes. A distinctive feature of the course is the integration of flower beds, referred to as "flower hazards," which add color and visual interest to the landscape. These plantings include Sunpatiens, Safflower, and Ajuga, strategically placed around various holes on both the Fuji and Komagata loops. The facility also includes a 200-yard driving range with 18 bays, a competition room, and a mini-competition room, catering to both serious golfers and casual players. The course hosts regular monthly meetings and junior golf events, maintaining its role as a community hub for the sport in the region.
