Ohio University Golf Course

The Ohio University Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 35 course located in Athens, Ohio, offering a practice putting green and pro-shop. The course features four tee options—Green (3,152/6,304 yards), White (2,761/5,522 yards), Gold (2,434/4,868 yards), and Red (2,140/4,280 yards)—accommodating various skill levels. The layout includes 31 bunkers and 4 water hazards, with undulating greens averaging 6,500 square feet each. Notable design elements include paved bridges across the Hocking River between holes 2-3 and 6-7, as well as wooden bridges connecting fairways to greens on holes 3 and 6. The course operates seasonally, with winter play limited to the North side (holes 1, 2, 7, 8, 9) played twice due to South side closures. The facility accommodates golf tournaments, leagues, and private lessons and is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Push carts and two-seat gas carts are available for rent, with walking-only policies during winter months.
