Founded in 1916, Oakland Hills Country Club is located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and holds a prominent place in American golf history. The South Course, nicknamed "The Monster," has hosted 17 major championships, including six U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships, two U.S. Senior Opens, the U.S. Women's Amateur, two U.S. Men's Amateurs, and the 2004 Ryder Cup. Walter Hagen, a five-time PGA Champion, served as the club's first head professional.
