Oʻahu Country Club is an 18-hole private golf course located in the Nu'uanu Valley mountains of Honolulu, Hawaii. Founded by attorney Wade Warren Thayer in the early 20th century, the club is distinguished as the only private golf course in Hawaii to own its land outright, occupying the historic 380-acre Waolani property with deep cultural significance, including connections to Queen Emma and the Hawaiian royal family.
The course features verdant hillsides and is characterized by fast greens and challenging gameplay. Set within the scenic Nu'uanu Valley, the layout offers both natural beauty and demanding conditions that test golfers of varying skill levels. The course serves as Honolulu's premier private golf club and has hosted invitational tournaments, including men's and women's events.
Beyond golf, the facility provides comprehensive amenities including a fitness center, temperature-controlled swimming pool, locker rooms, and clubhouse dining options. The club maintains a membership base drawn from diverse professional backgrounds united by their appreciation for the game.
