Newman Municipal Golf Course

Newman Municipal Golf Course is a challenging 9-hole public course established in 1935, situated on the edge of scenic Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, New York. The par-36 layout measures 3,300 yards from the back tees and features four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels.

The course is known for maintaining some of the best greens in the area and offers wonderful views of surrounding hills, sailboats, and neighboring Cass Park and Stewart Park. The generally flat terrain provides an enjoyable walking experience, with pull and power carts available for rent.

Hazards and sand bunkers come into play throughout the layout, presenting a moderate challenge. The course is suitable for golfers of all ages and abilities. Amenities include a pro shop offering equipment and memberships, and a clubhouse with food and beverage concessions. The course operates year-round and is managed by the City of Ithaca with support from Friends of Newman, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and revitalizing the facility.
