New Town Bay Golf Course

New Town Bay Golf Club is a private nine-hole metropolitan golf course located in Lutana, Hobart, just 10 minutes from the CBD. Formerly known as EZ Risdon Golf Club, it sits in an inner-city setting offering convenient access to the course for Hobart golfers.

The course features a defining signature hole—the challenging ninth, a 183-metre downhill par three surrounded by two difficult bunkers that guard the green. This hole is notable for its demanding design and scenic downhill approach.

The club hosts regular competitions on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with member bookings required on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Non-members may play socially on other days provided at least one player holds membership at an affiliated golf club, with green fees of $25 applying. The clubhouse includes a licensed bar with extended hours on competition days.
