Nasu Kasumigajo Golf Club is a 72-par, 18-hole championship course located in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Situated within a resort setting that emphasizes the natural landscape of the Nasu region, the layout is designed to offer a strategic and challenging experience for golfers of varying skill levels. The course spans 142 hectares and features a total length of 7,010 yards from the black tees, with alternative yardages available for blue (6,726 yards), white (6,362 yards), and red (6,077 yards) tees. The course is characterized by its integration of the surrounding natural terrain, utilizing the existing topography to create a layout that balances comfort for casual players with the demands of tournament-level competition. Recent renovations have included the replacement of fairways with Korean Zenith bentgrass to maintain optimal conditioning. Tee grounds have also been adjusted—lowered and shifted laterally—to mitigate the severity of dogleg holes, enhancing playability while preserving the course's strategic integrity. The club's symbol flower, the mountain dogwood (yamabuki), has been replanted throughout the grounds to improve the visual landscape. Key features of the course include the use of high-tech GPS-enabled electric carts to assist with distance management and a customized caddie service available by reservation. The 18-hole layout is divided into an outward nine totaling 3,449 yards from the black tees and an inward nine of 3,561 yards. Notable holes include the par-5 18th, which stretches 637 yards from the black tees, and the par-5 1st, measuring 536 yards. The par-3 holes provide significant variety, ranging from the short 8th at 208 yards to the longer 3rd at 479 yards. The facility is anchored by a substantial wooden clubhouse, recognized for its architectural scale and integration with the forest environment, having received the Tochigi Prefecture Maroni Architecture Award. The resort also offers access to natural onsen springs from the Iono hot spring source, featuring weak alkaline low-sodium water intended for recovery after play.
