Nabari Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Nabari, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Designed by Yoshio Asakawa, the course opened in September 1964 and features a JGA Course Rating of 72.6 from the back tees, which stretch to 6,884 yards. The layout is set on Bentgrass greens and is characterized by a mix of blind shots and open fairways. The front nine totals 3,404 yards, while the back nine measures 3,480 yards, providing a balanced but demanding test for golfers. The course presents several strategic challenges, including blind tee shots and cross bunkers. The first hole, a 530-yard par 5, requires a tee shot aimed slightly left of center, with the third shot played to a green that is not visible from the tee. The par-4 11th hole is a blind shot over a cross bunker, while the 18th hole, a 620-yard par 5, offers a safe route to the right but rewards aggressive players who can carry the left-side trees. In contrast, the 6th hole is described as an open, flat par 4 that allows for a clear view of the green, though players are advised to ensure the putting surface is clear before striking their approach. Nabari Country Club has a significant history in Japanese golf, hosting the 10th Kansai Professional Golf Championship in 1972, which was won by Teruo Sugihara. The venue also hosted the 17th All Japan Student Golf Championship in 1975, claimed by Masahiro Kuramoto. An exhibition match featuring American golfer Billy Casper was held at the club in 1970. The club continues to host regional events, including the Mie Junior Golf Championship and the Chubu Mid-Amateur Golf Championship qualifiers. A new clubhouse was constructed in 1991, replacing the original structure that had been in place since the course's opening.
