The Mustang Course at Lely Resort is a par 72, 7,230-yard layout designed by World Golf Hall of Famer Lee Trevino. The course features gently rolling fairways, large greens, and 12 sparkling lakes. The course opened in 1996 and presents an enjoyable challenge to golfers of all abilities with multiple tees on each hole.

Designed according to Trevino's philosophy that the game should be challenging yet fair for the common golfer, many of the Mustang's holes are demanding while also offering players the opportunity to recover from errant shots. Notable holes include the par-3 16th, which requires carrying water and bunkers to reach a well-defended green, and the 18th, a classic home hole with bunkers in the landing zone and a well-bunkered peninsula green. The course plays through the South Florida marshlands.

The course is open to public play and offers an array of exclusive privileges and opportunities through the Platinum Club and National Golf Club memberships. The club features a spacious all-grass driving range with multiple target greens, a chipping green with a practice bunker, two putting greens, and a Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse with a pro shop, locker rooms, and a restaurant.
