Mowbray Golf Course Top 100 Review

Mowbray Golf Club is located in the northern suburbs of Launceston, Tasmania. The 18-hole course was established in 1934 as a 9-hole layout and expanded to its current configuration in the 1960s. The course measures over 6,000 metres and features a par structure of two Par-5s, three Par-3s, and thirteen Par-4s.

The club has a distinguished competitive history, with its Division 1 Pennant team winning nine consecutive Northern and State titles from 1996 to 2004. The club achieved its greatest accomplishment in 1999 by winning all four State Pennants across divisions 1, 2, 3, and Colts. The clubhouse was constructed in 1975 and underwent renovation in 2018. Mowbray currently maintains over 500 members and hosts competitions six days per week, positioning itself as a family-oriented club with a challenging course that welcomes visitors and new members.
