Mossel Bay Golf Club, founded in 1905, is located in Mossel Bay on South Africa's Garden Route. The original course at the old aerodrome was relocated in 1924 when the Mossel Bay Municipality provided land for a new layout designed by Bob Grimsdell, completed in 1926. The course underwent significant redesign in 1999-2000 by Danie Obermeyer and was rebuilt by Philip Basson as part of a comprehensive club upgrade.

The course is notably characterized by ocean views visible from every tee, offering a scenic coastal setting. The layout features challenging yet playable greens and fairways designed to balance difficulty with enjoyment. The course accommodates substantial play, with records showing over 45,000 rounds annually during peak membership periods.

Club facilities include a 250-meter practice range with 10 bays, a putting and chipping green, a 50-cart fleet with both electric and petrol options, and a halfway house. The clubhouse features a restaurant with woodfired pizza service, two bars, and a pro shop. Additional amenities include five squash courts. The club has established itself as a major tourist attraction in the region and maintains strong membership engagement with regular tournaments and social activities.
