Mohonk Golf Course is a historic 9-hole golf course located in New Paltz, New York, established in 1897 by founder Albert Smiley on the grounds of the Mountain Rest Dairy Farm. The course was originally laid out on an apple orchard and represents one of the oldest golf courses in the United States. In 1911, Scottish golf professional Robert Pryde lengthened and enhanced the course, infusing it with Scottish design influences that remain evident today.

The course features undulating fairways, blind tee shots, and uneven lies characteristic of 19th-century Scottish golf architecture. Despite its vintage design, the layout effectively challenges modern equipment and playing styles, making it a demanding test of shot-making skills. The course is situated within the Mohonk Mountain House resort in the Hudson Valley region of upstate New York, offering scenic views typical of the area's landscape.

The course operates seasonally from April through early November, weather permitting. It is consistently recognized as one of the finest 9-hole courses in New York State, combining historical significance with enduring playability. Players can walk the course or utilize golf carts and pull carts for rent.
