Located in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Mizobe Country Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by renowned architect Mitsuaki Kobayashi. The layout is situated near Kagoshima Airport, offering a setting where natural beauty is integrated with architectural design. The course features a total par of 72, with a front nine totaling 36 and 3,347 yards from the back tees, and a back nine of equal par measuring 3,649 yards from the same vantage point. The front nine presents a mix of lengths and challenges, highlighted by the first hole, a straight par 4 that is the only bunker-free hole on the course. This design encourages players to attack the pin off the tee if they find the fairway. The course includes three par-3s, including the 7th at 177 yards and the 16th at 192 yards, which serve as key scoring opportunities. The back nine introduces longer stretches, most notably the 17th hole, a 572-yard par 5 that stands as the longest hole on the property. The closing hole, the 18th, is a left-dogleg par 4 that requires precise club selection for the second shot, as players must carry a water hazard. This strategic finish tests the accuracy of approach shots after a long round. The course also features two par-5s on the back nine, including the 14th at 510 yards, providing opportunities for birdie scoring for longer hitters. Mizobe Country Club hosts regular competitions, with a schedule of events maintained annually. The facility includes a driving range with 15 bays stretching 180 yards, allowing players to prepare for the course's various challenges. The club is accessible via a short drive from Kagoshima Airport, facilitating travel for visitors.
