Mission Valley Golf & Country Club

Mission Valley Golf & Country Club, located in Nokomis, Florida, was founded in 1967 and features a course designed by David Wallace. The layout spans over 200 acres and incorporates numerous lakes throughout, with greens and tees positioned in close proximity to create a walkable course suitable for both walking and riding golfers.

The course underwent significant renovation in 2018, which modernized its playing surfaces with TifTuff Bermuda grass on fairways and ultra-dwarf TifEagle grass on enlarged greens. The renovation also repositioned and upgraded bunkers using the Better Billy Bunker system, while expanding lakes and natural sandscapes added both aesthetic appeal and strategic challenge to the design.

The club accommodates players of all skill levels through multiple tee options added during the recent renovation. Mission Valley operates as a private members' club and maintains practice facilities alongside the championship course. The clubhouse itself was renovated in 2006 to expand and modernize member amenities, reflecting the club's continued evolution since its inception.
