LiVE MAX Golf Club Tochigi, formerly known as Minami Tochigi Golf Club, is an 18-hole course located in Kusu City, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Situated at an elevation of 370 meters, the course is built into a hillside with a terraced layout that offers sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. The total length of the course is 6,621 yards, featuring a mix of downhill and uphill shots across a spacious design. The facility is known for its pure sand greens and diamond-cut fairways, providing a strategic challenge for golfers navigating the undulating terrain. The front nine holes present a variety of challenges, starting with the long 498-yard 1st hole, a par 5 with a gentle downhill slope. The 6th hole, a 514-yard par 5, is highlighted as a particularly open hole for those attempting to reach the green in two shots. The 7th hole is a 201-yard par 3 featuring the club's largest green, measuring approximately 1,000 square meters, with water guarding the left side. The 9th hole is a 412-yard par 4 where a creek flows in front of the green, leaving no fairway shortcut. The back nine continues the strategic test with notable holes such as the 12th, a 356-yard par 4 that requires a carry over a valley. The 17th hole is a 520-yard par 5 with a fast green that slopes from back to front, requiring precise approach shots. The closing 18th hole is a 414-yard par 4 guarded by water on the left side of the green and a beach bunker on the right. The course layout encourages players to manage their distance and position carefully, with several holes featuring water hazards, bunkers, and out-of-bounds zones that demand accuracy off the tee.
