Milnathort Golf Club, opened in 1910, is a parkland course located near Burleigh Castle in Kinross, Scotland. Set on gently undulating expansive parkland with gentle hills, the course offers both 9 and 18-hole configurations. The 18-hole layout has an unusual par of 71, achieved through additional tees and greens on the back nine that provide a different challenge for each nine holes.
The course is widely recognized as one of Scotland's best 9-hole courses, featuring excellent greens protected by strategically placed trees and bunkers. The layout demands careful shot placement due to these hazards positioned throughout. Milnathort has established a strong reputation as a quality venue, hosting numerous national events and participating in R&A 9-hole challenge competitions.
The club occupies a scenic setting within extensive parkland with ample facilities. Originally built on leased land from the Lumbenny estate, the course is also referenced on maps as Burleigh Golf Course due to its proximity to the historic castle. The club is known for its welcoming atmosphere and friendly community, catering to visitors and members of all ages and abilities.
