Mill Creek Golf Course (South) is one of two championship 18-hole courses designed by legendary architect Donald Ross, both opening in 1928. Located in Boardman, Ohio, the South Course features par 70 and spans 5,095 to 6,511 yards across four sets of tees.
The course is characterized by flat terrain with tree-lined fairways and a more open design compared to its North counterpart. Natural hazards including streams come into play on five holes, adding challenge to specific layouts. The course features well-maintained greens typical of municipal championship play.
Golfweek magazine has recognized the South Course as one of America's 30 Best Municipal Courses, reflecting its quality and design integrity. With over 100 bunkers distributed across both courses at the facility, the South Course presents strategic bunkering that rewards accurate play.
Set within Mill Creek MetroParks' scenic landscape, the course offers accessibility for golfers of all skill levels. The 1929 Fieldhouse building serves as the pro shop and includes dining at Hole #55, while the facility's Indoor Player Development Center provides year-round instruction and club fitting services.
